Just wanted to update the handful of folks who know and share with those who don't yet know, I recently learned that I've got cervical cancer. Had a routine exam in early October, results were abnormal, went in for a colposcopy and biopsy a few weeks ago and results came back last week. My dr has referred me to a gynecological oncologist for further treatment. I'm waiting for that appt now.
I don't know what stage or how severe it is yet but do know that I'll be getting a hysterectomy and hopefully not have to do chemo or radiation but just don't know yet.
Unrelated but I'm also having hand surgery in a few months when I'm done teaching my brain tanning classes in February to remove a bone in my cmc joint.
I'm thankful for the support of my family and friends the last few months and going forward. My faith is strong and I know God will walk with me through this and carry me when needed. I'll just going to keep doing what I do, teaching others and sharing my passion for hide tanning because great opportunities are being showered upon me in that area of my life right now.
So, in the words of Candace Owens - Life's tough, get a helmet man! ...putting helmet on now....
